2008 Coaching Staff
ELITE U19 Head Coach Kevin Donelley
Kevin is the head coach at Spring-Ford High School since 2004. He was the PVLL coach of the year in 2006, Pottstown Mercury Coach of the year 2007 and led his team to the PAC-10 Champions in 2007. Kevin played lacrosse for West Chester University as well as being an assistant coach. Prior to Spring-Ford he was the assistant coach and defense coordinator for Upper Darby High School for 6 years.
SELECT U17 Head Coach Andy Wagner
Andy is currently the head boys lacrosse coach at the Perkiomen Valley High School. He is entering his 5th season. Perk Valley has had a record of 40 wins and 19 losses over that span with consecutive playoff appearances, 2 division championships, 1 conference championship, and one solid performance in the state playoffs. Andy comes from Lycoming College where he played as a defensemen earning an appearance in the 1998 USILA North-South All Star game. Andy stayed on as the Warriors assistant coach for the 1999-2000 campaigns.
SELECT U17 Assistant Coach Taylor Howard
Taylor is the current assistant coach for the Perkiomen Valley High School boys lacrosse team. Taylor has been on the Perk Valley staff as the offensive coach for the past two years. Taylor has been coaching in the Montgomery County area for the past 7 years. Taylor was an inaugural coach for the Kimberton-Waldorf School in 2001 and the offensive assistant coach for Boyertown Area High School team from 2002 through 2005. Taylor was a standout midfielder for the Lycoming College Warriors from 1996-2000. Taylor earned all-conference honors as well as recognition as a team captain.
SELECT U17 Assistant Coach John Lignelli
John Lignelli is expected to assist the 2008 Perkiomen Valley High School’s boy’s lacrosse team. John was a local standout lacrosse player for the Hill School. John’s outstanding defensive play as a close defensemen gained him a position on the Division I, University of New Hampshire’s team.
BLACK BEAR U15 Head Coach John White
John has been involved in lacrosse every year since he first began playing in 1973 at Henderson High School. He hase been the High School Head Coach at the Woodlynde School since 1999. John was the Assistant Varsity and Head JV high School Coach at Haverford High from 1981-82. The head High School Coach at Valley Forge Military from 83 -87. The Varsity Assistant Coach and Head JV Coach at Conestoga High from 88 -90. From 91-present he has been a lacrosse official at all levels, youth to college. John has reffed approximately 20 -25 PA State Play-off games since 1992.
BLACK BEAR U15 Assistant Coach Brad Poley
Brad has been the B.O.L.T. head coach for the past four years, as a committee member and a head coach of the U11's & U13's. Coach Poley's team won the PVYLL U13 Division last year. Brad was a 1980-84 middie/attack player for Arizona State University. Coached team that won the 2007 U-13 Penn Valley League Championhip.
